Be a Kid or Teen Librarian!

Have you ever wanted to create a display at the library and show off some of your favorite books? Now you can!

With our Kid Librarian and Teen Librarian programs, one teen and one kid will be selected every two weeks to create a display.

Their display can be a collection of favorite books or a special theme of any genre (fiction or nonfiction)!

Kid and Teen Librarians will meet with Miss Makenna at the Genoa Library or Miss Sierra at the Elmore Library (depending on preferred location) for 30 minutes to select your books for a display and create a sign. Their picture will be taken to be posted on Facebook and our Email Newsletter and their display will stay up for two weeks.

Ages 6-11 for Kid Librarians and ages 12-16 for Teen Librarians. Kid and Teen Librarians will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested in being a Kid Librarian or Teen Librarian? Fill out an application form below or in person at the Harris-Elmore or Genoa Branch Libraries.

Selected kids and teens will be contacted one week before their display turn to set up a time!
